Discover the grace of Yuzen kimono art through delicate flowers and lovable creatures painted with the Japanese painting technique of making thin layers time after time on soft handmade Japanese paper with florid gold and silver sheen.
Complimentary Japanese fans with Masako's painting (limited availability) for guests.

KOBAYASHI Masako
Born in 1957 in Miyazaki, Japan. Trained with Yuzen (hand painting on kimono) art in Kyoto. Held over 100 solo exhibitions since 1978. Masako's main theme : flowers and blossoms

I am a painter from Tokyo, Japan.
My favourite objective is to paint roses in rose gardens.
I have been painting in Kew Garden and in Cambridge while I am staying in England for two months.
I am very happy to be able to exhibit at the Kaetsu Centre and looking forward to meeting you at the exhibition.
